The
Mammoth jack or
Jackstock is the largest of donkeys, having
great size and strength. A Mammoth Jack is usually about 56" or
14 hands tall. We're very fond of our gentle giant. He's smart,
friendly, and eager to please. These giant donkeys have been
rare for a good number of years and are only recently making a
comeback.
Our Mammoth donkeys are true to their breed ... kind, gentle,
and placid. They're considered mature at four years of age and
will live 30-50 years. Our animals are well loved and receive
excellent care, they tend to live on the longer range of a
lifespan.
Here is an article you can read about the characteristics of the

Smokey's beautiful long ears tell a story ... He loves
conversation. Donkey's tend to tilt an ear back as they
listen.
In these photos, the girl taking the photos was new to
him. As he approaches her and her camera, his ears erect
slightly forward indicate curiosity. While she spoke to
him, he began to tilt back an ear to listen. He enjoys
the conversation and hopes to get a nice scratching.
